How Trade Talks collects, uses and protects your personal information.
Trade Talks, a brand operated by Optionauts Private Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”), operates the online learning platform at tradetalksonline.com (the “Platform”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it, and the choices available to you.
By creating an account, enrolling in a course, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. How We Use Your Information
- create and manage your account and grant access to the courses you purchase;
- process payments, issue receipts and GST invoices, and handle refund requests;
- track your learning progress and issue certificates of completion;
- answer enquiries and provide support;
- send transactional emails such as purchase confirmations and password resets;
- send course updates or offers only where you have opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time;
- improve the Platform, diagnose technical faults, and detect fraud or account sharing.
3. Legal Basis for Processing
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on: performance of a contract (delivering the course you bought); your consent (marketing messages and non-essential cookies); our legitimate interests (securing and improving the Platform); and compliance with legal obligations (tax and accounting records).
4. Payment Processing
Payments are processed by third-party payment gateways. Information entered on the payment page goes directly to the gateway and is governed by their own privacy policy. We receive only a transaction reference, the amount, the payment status, and limited details such as the payment method or the last four digits of a card.
5. Cookies and Tracking
- Strictly necessary: required for login, checkout and security. These cannot be switched off.
- Functional: remember preferences such as your last-viewed lesson.
- Analytics: help us understand aggregate usage so we can improve the courses.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling strictly necessary cookies will stop parts of the Platform working.
6. Sharing Your Information
We share personal information only with:
- Service providers who help us operate the Platform — hosting, email delivery, payment processing and analytics;
- Mentors and instructors, limited to progress data for their own courses;
- Legal and regulatory authorities, where required by law or to protect our rights and our users;
- A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy continuing to apply.
7. Data Retention
We keep account and learning records for as long as your account is active, so that you retain lifetime access to the courses you bought. Transaction and invoice records are kept for the period required by Indian tax and accounting law. If you ask us to delete your account we will remove or anonymise your personal data, except where we are legally required to retain it.
8. Data Security
We use industry-standard measures including TLS/SSL encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls and regular software updates. No system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
9. Your Rights
- request a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything inaccurate or incomplete;
- request deletion of your account and associated data;
- withdraw consent to marketing at any time;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, certain processing.
To exercise any of these, email tradetalksacademy@gmail.com from your registered email address. We may ask you to verify your identity first.
10. Children’s Privacy
The Platform is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Learners under 18 should use the Platform only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
11. Third-Party Links and Embedded Content
Our courses and pages may link to or embed content from third-party services such as video hosts, YouTube, Instagram or Telegram. Those services collect data under their own policies and we are not responsible for their practices.
12. Changes and Contact
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new date, and continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
